To Rinse or Not to Rinse?

To Rinse or Not to Rinse?

A couple of weeks ago, I invited you to ask me anything.

Though there were many brilliant questions, one stood out among all others.

Triple Bristle customer Amanda M. asked:

Is it true that you aren't supposed to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth, only spit out the toothpaste? I saw a viral tiktok and now I want to know if I've been brushing my teeth wrong ?

Well, since Amanda still has teeth to brush, I’d say she’s doing just fine ?

There’s no hard rule on this.

However…

There is one BIG BENEFIT of NOT rinsing your mouth with water after you brush.

Just spitting out excess toothpaste will help the fluoride from the toothpaste stay around longer and help remineralize the enamel on the teeth

So…if you LOVE to rinse after brushing like I do, perhaps consider using a rinse that has fluoride or essential oils to make sure you’re not losing out on your chance to keep your teeth healthy and strong.

And to get even more bang for your buck…I’d also do THIS and THIS, maybe even THIS

Complete those steps and you’re well on your way to giving yourself a cleaner, brighter smile!
