What Causes Smelly Breath?

What Causes Smelly Breath?

If you, or someone you love, has smelly breath…

It might be because of tonsil stones.

What are tonsil stones?

It’s like a kidney stone, but on your tonsil.

Wait…it gets worse.

More specifically…tonsil stones are deposits of calcified dead cells and bacteria that form in the grooves of your tonsil glands.

They appear as hard, white bumps, and…can vary in size.

They are also VERY, VERY stinky!

So…if you have swollen tonsils AND suffer from bad breath AND have a sore throat…

You might want to see if you have tonsil stones by checking the back of your throat in a mirror.

Look closely, because they may be hidden.

If you find that you have them, you can gently try to dislodge them using a toothbrush, cotton swab, water flosser, or by gargling warm salt water.

Remember - the first line of defense to keeping your breath fresh is making sure you’re thoroughly brushing your teeth at least twice per day.
